What are Add Your Face Greetings and Games?

Add Your Face Greetings and Games are special products designed using augmented reality technologies to put you in the picture! Use a photo of you or a friend or take a snapshot with a webcam to create truly unique greetings.

The new Add Your Face greetings and games are flash based so we recommend using a high speed internet connection. If you are on dial-up service you may experience slower load times. You should also always make sure your Adobe Flash is up to date as our newer cards will use a newer version of Adobe Flash. How do Add Your Face products work?

All Add Your Face products are designed to detect the elements of a face: eyes, nose, and mouth. This is why, when you use a webcam, it's very important that you position your camera to get a good look at you when you create a greeting or play a game.
For example, when using a webcam in the "It's Party Time!" Add Your Face greeting, the cupcake and the birthday hat follow your face so if you move around in the webcam view area, you'll see that the cake and hat follow you around too when you customize it using a webcam.
When you use an uploaded photo you need to make sure that the face is in the center of the frame and the eyes, nose and mouth are visible.
Once you're satisfied with the image, immortalize it by clicking the "Take a Photo" button and share it by email or on Facebook.

How do I personalize Add Your Face greetings with a webcam?

In order to use Add Your Face greetings with a webcam simply select this option at the beginning of the greeting.

Because the elements of the greeting follow the movements of your face, make sure that the webcam faces you and that your eyes, nose and mouth are in the center of the picture. Once you're satisfied with the image, immortalize it by clicking the "Take a Photo" button and share the result by email or on Facebook.

Tip: make sure that there is no powerful source of light behind you that may interfere with your webcam and also that there is enough light in the room.

To use a photo with any Add Your Face greeting that supports this functionality make sure you click "Use a Photo" when prompted to do so at the beginning of the ecard. You may be prompted to choose between "From Facebook" (using a photo from your Facebook account) and "From Computer".
If you wish to use a photo from Facebook, log in to your account through the pop-up window and wait for all your Facebook photo albums to load (please note that if you have many albums and photos they make take longer to load).
Tip: select a frontal photo and make sure that eyes, mouth and nose are visible. Adjust it using the buttons on the right next to the photo so that the face is in the central area of the frame.

How do I play Add Your Face Games?

To play Add Your Face Games you need a webcam connected to your computer. Open the product, click Allow when prompted to do so and follow the instructions for each game. Also make sure that there is no powerful source of light behind you that may interfere with your webcam.
Tip: Make sure Adobe Flash Player is installed on your computer or click here to get Flash.

What are the rules for Catch the Hoops?

1. Select a hat and adjust it to your size.
2. Catch the hoops that fall from the top with the tip of your hat and don't forget: the white Magic Hoop doubles your points.
3. For extra fun, share your results on Facebook.

What are the rules for Bubbles Burst?

1. Place your nose in the white glowing contour then click on it.
2. Burst the soap bubbles with the tip of your nose and collect points.
3. Share your results with everyone on Facebook.

Troubleshooting
I clicked on a product but nothing happens; what gives?

Make sure Adobe Flash Player is installed on your computer or click here to get Flash.

When I personalize my Add Your Face greeting or game, nothing happens. Why?

If you are using a webcam:
• Check that the webcam is plugged in your computer and is working.
• Make sure there is no strong light source behind you; in order to work properly, the image needs to have a good color contrast.
• Poor light in the room also affects the performance of this product so ensure a good level of lighting when you use your webcam.

If you are using an uploaded photo:
• Make sure that the photo you are using is of a face with both eyes, nose and mouth visible.
• Center the photo so that the face in right in the middle of the frame, using the buttons on the right next to the photo.
• If you wish to use a photo from Facebook, please note that if you have many albums in your account, they may take longer to load.

I uploaded a photo, why doesn't my Add Your Face greeting work?

In order for Add Your Face greetings to work, the photo you upload must meet the requirements below:
1. Use a frontal photo of a face (using a photo of your pet will not work).
2. Both eyes, nose and mouth need to be visible.
3. Make sure the size of the photo file is not too large, otherwise it may take longer to upload.
4. If you wish to use a photo from Facebook, please note that if you have many albums in your account, they may take longer to load.

I don't have a webcam, can I still personalize Add Your Face Greetings?

Yes. Most of our Add Your Face Greetings allow you to upload a photo from your computer or from a Facebook album. All you need to do is make sure your photo meets the requirements in the previous question.

Can I play Add Your Face Games without a webcam?

No. Because of their structure, Add Your Face Games can only be played using a webcam.
